The LuciaBBQ Grill Unit is our foray into carbon negative grilling.

It has several advantages over a standard grill:

  • Begin cooking as soon as you light it. No need to wait for charcoals to set.
  • Low emissions (particulate and gaseous). Emissions advantages of a gas grill with the flavor and temperature of a wood or charcoal grill; Particularly important for people who wish to maintain their cooking traditions in areas where charcoal can no longer be used.
  • Be part of the solution. By purchasing a LuciaBBQ not only will you be sequestering CO2 every time you grill, but for every four grills purchased WorldStove donates one LuciaStove to a developing nation pilot program. This does not mean you have to buy four, your purchase WorldStove counts as one fourth of a stove. Today donated LuciaStoves are already helping feed the hungry, provide clean water to the thirsty, reducing deforestation, and sequestering CO2 in three continents.

The LuciaBBQ has stainless steel construction with replaceable consumable components, XX cm diameter of cooking area, and can be used with any high density biomass such as chipped wood, yard waste, and small branches. We encourage the use of wood pellets for optimal functionality.

Adding fuel: Top fill. Not batch driven, can add fuel while cooking.
Biomass feed rate: 300g biomass = up to 1 hour 25 minutes cook time on low setting. 1.5kg/hour on highest setting
